Beaverlodge Hospital ED experiencing four disruptions this week

The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital Emergency Department will have four overnight disruptions this week, due to what AHS called a “clinical personnel shortage.”

All disruptions will last for 12 hours, stretching from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., with the first going into effect tonight (Monday, June 8).

Three more will follow:

  • 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 9 to 8 a.m., Wednesday, June 10
  • 8 p.m., Friday, June 12 to 8 a.m., Saturday, June 13

8 p.m., Sunday, June 14 to 8 a.m., Monday, June 15

During the disruptions, nursing staff will remain on-site for urgent triage, assessments, and referrals to neighbouring facilities.

Residents are also reminded that the Virtual Emergency Physician program is being piloted at the Beaverlodge Hospital and may be available for all or parts of this advisory.
