Yellow warnings for rainfall out for Grande Cache, Fox Creek, other areas

Environment Canada has issued yellow warnings for rainfall for the Grande Cache, Fox Creek, Whitecourt, Hinton, Kakwa Wildland Park, and Willmore Wilderness Park areas.  

The weather office says heavy rain is expected to start tonight (Friday, June 19) and continue into Sunday.  

Forecasters say 50 to 70 mm are predicted in some places.

Thunderstorms are also possible.

Weather watchers are cautioning people not to drive on any flooded roadways and to watch for washouts near culverts and rivers.
