No overnight physician coverage for Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital emergency department June 22 & 26

Due to a clinical personnel shortage, there could be no on-site physician at the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital emergency department for two nights this week.

There is no on-site physician expected from 8:00 p.m. Monday, Jun. 22, until 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jun. 23, and again from 8:00 p.m. Friday, Jun. 26, until 8:00 a.m. Saturday, Jun. 27.

Nursing staff will remain on-site to provide urgent triage, assessment and referrals for patients to alternate emergency departments. 911 callers with medical emergency situations will be re-routed to neighbouring facilities.

Virtual emergency physician coverage may be available, where experienced physicians can be reached remotely to support the ED temporarily during this service advisory.
