Grande Prairie male facing sexual offence charges as RCMP seek other victims
Grande Prairie RCMP is seeking any potential victims of an alleged sex offender currently in custody.
Numerous charges were laid against 32-year-old Grande Prairie resident Joseph Kidd, including sexual assault, assault while choking, forcible confinement, and abduction of a person under 14-years-old.
RCMP Superintendent Mark MacDougald says on April 17, 2026, a 14-year-old female BC resident attended the detachment and reported Kidd.
“The victim was from BC and said that she met Kidd via social media,” says MacDougald. “Kidd drove to BC to pick her up and drove her back to his residence in Grande Prairie. She was there for approximately one week and was able to leave the residence after Kidd left to go to work.”
