Baseball provincials, rugby, lacrosse, North Peace Rodeo on this weekend

Baseball Provincials

The U16 Baseball Alberta Girls League Provincials will be held Friday through Sunday at Evergreen Park.

The host Reds will play Grande Cache in the tournament’s opening game at 9 a.m. Friday.

Games continue at noon and 3 p.m. with the Reds playing the Rocky Sun Devils at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, games start at 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. The Reds take on Fort McMurray at 3.

Sunday games start at 9 a.m. The Reds play Beaumont at noon, then the final starts at 3 p.m.

 The 13U A and 11U A Reds have home games this weekend on Saturday and Sunday, also at Evergreen Park.

Rugby

The Sirens and Centaurs rugby teams are home to the Parkland Sharks on Saturday.

The women’s game will start at 1 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 3 p.m.

Both games will be played at Macklin Field.

Lacrosse

The Peace Country Honey Badgers Jr. B lacrosse team will visit the Parkland Posse Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Rodeo

The North Peace Rodeo goes Friday through Sunday in Fort St. John. 

The rodeo slack starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, with main performances at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. 

All-Pro wagons start Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
