Rio Grande Rodeo starts Canada Day

A Peace Country rodeo tradition more than 100 years old is scheduled to resume on Canada Day. 

The Rio Grande Rodeo will run through Friday. 

The Open Rodeo is set for Wednesday and Thursday at 1 p.m., with the slack at 9 a.m. 

The Little Britches Rodeo starts at noon on Friday. 

The flat races go Wednesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. 

All-Pro wagons and chariots start at 6:30 p.m. all three days.
