Jul 7, 2026 | 11:24 AM

Night 4 of the 2026 Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby was under mostly sunny skies and a warm 22°C, and once again, track conditions were very fast.

At the end of the evening, it was Jamie Laboucane driving the Panorama Advisory Group outfit that captured his second Kirk’s Trail Tire Wheels on Fire Fast Time of the Night with a run time of 1:10.74.

Laboucane edged Grande Prairie native Chanse Vigen to the finish line by nearly a quarter of a second to post the fastest run of this year’s Rangeland Derby so far. Chad Fike claimed third on the night, while Obrey Motowylo, and Mitch Sutherland rounded out the top five.

The victory moved Laboucane back to the top of the overall aggregate standings with a four-day combined time of 4:50.42. He holds a little more than a half-second advantage over Rae Croteau Jr., while defending champion Vigen remains third overall. Chad Fike has climbed into fourth place, just under 3.75 seconds out of a top-three position, with Logan Gorst slipping to fifth.

The top three drivers in the aggregate following racing on Saturday, July 11, will advance to the Championship Final Heat on Sunday, July 12. The winner of the championship heat will be crowned the 2026 Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby.
