Fairview RCMP arrest suspect in connection to car parts theft
A 32-year-old Fairview resident was arrested last week in connection to multiple car part thefts.
On July 23, Mounties were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle pulling a quad in a farmer’s field. Upon arrival, officers pulled over a driver without an active license and a non-roadworthy quad.
Tickets were issued, and the vehicle was towed when, minutes later, RCMP received multiple calls about stolen car parts, many of which were in the vehicle being towed.
The suspect was relocated by the RCMP and arrested and charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, and two counts of mischief.
