Mobile mammography unit visiting multiple Peace Region locations

Jul 29, 2026 | 12:26 PM

Alberta Health Services Screen Test program will be on the road again, visiting multiple communities across the Peace Region over the next week.

The mobile mammography trailer will be stationed at three locations from July 30 to August 7.

The first stop will be at the Grimshaw Berwyn Community Health Complex from July 30 to August 1.

The second stop will be in Peace River at the Marshall Eliuk Peace River Community Health Centre from August 4 to 5.

The last stop will be in Silver Valley on August 7 at the Savanna Agricultural Society Rec Plex.

Appointments must be made in advance to access the breast cancer screening service and are available no cost for eligible individuals. Women aged 45-74 are the most at risk at developing breast cancer and mammograms are the best way to detect early, when treatment may work better.

For more information about the Screen Test program and/or to book an appointment call 1-800-667-0604 or visit https://screeningforlife.ca/breast/get-screened/#who_should_get_screened.
