City facilities to close for Heritage Day, GP Museum hosting a celebration on Saturday

Most city facilities will be closed on Monday, August 3, which is Heritage Day in Alberta.

The list of those that will be closed and those that will be open is as follows: 

·         City Hall: Closed

·         City Service Centre: Closed.

·         Ernie Radbourne Pavilion at Muskoseepi Park: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

·         Aquatera Outdoor Pool: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

·         Eastlink Centre: Closed.

·         PlayCare: Closed.

·         Design Works Centre: Closed.

·         Bonnetts Energy Centre: Closed.

·         Montrose Cultural Centre: Closed.

·         Grande Prairie Museum: Closed.

·         Dave Barr Community Centre: Closed.

·         Keyera Place: Closed.

·         Cedar Point: Closed.

Transit will operate from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Late-night on-demand service will run from 6 to 8 p.m. 

The city says the Grande Prairie Museum will be hosting a free public event to mark Heritage Day on Saturday, August 1.

It will go from noon to 5 p.m. and include community booths, an old-fashioned carnival, and many other activities. Admission will be free.
