Four Grande Prairie disc golfers win titles at Canadian National Championships

Four competitors from Grande Prairie won titles at the Canadian National Championships for disc golf held in Grande Prairie last weekend. 

Todd Smith-Salter finished at six under par over three rounds to take first place in the Mixed Amateur 40+ category. He had a three-round score of 186, six under par and seven shots ahead of the second-place finisher. 

Ondrej Ferby won the Mixed Amateur 2 category with a four-under-par total of 182 over three rounds, six shots ahead of the second-place finisher. 

Acadia Smith-Salter won the Women’s Amateur 2 title with a three-round total of 210, seven shots ahead of her nearest challenger. 

Kayla Doerkson finished first in the Girls’ Junior under 18 category. 

Hundreds of disc golfers from across Canada, along with some from New Zealand and the U.S., took part in the championships.
