Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital ED without coverage multiple times Aug. 4-Aug. 8

The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital emergency department will once again be without an on-site physician multiple times this week, starting tonight (Tuesday, August 4).

Due to a clinical personnel shortage and an inability to secure temporary coverage, there will be no on-site physician on the following dates and times:

  • 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug 5.
  • 8:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, until 8:00 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7
  • 8:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, until 8:00 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.

Patients are still asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency, as EMS will remain available to reroute callers to surrounding facilities.

Nursing staff will remain on-site in the Emergency Department providing urgent triage and assessments, and a virtual emergency physician is currently scheduled to support all or part of these shifts.
