Patterson Place roadwork to begin tomorrow

A road rehabilitation project will get going in Patterson Place starting tomorrow (Friday, Aug. 7).

As part of the City of Grande Prairie’s 2026 Capital Construction program, crews will be making upgrades to the road along Popular Drive, between 72 and 79 Avenues.

Once completed, crews will move to Patterson Drive, between 76 Ave and Prairie Road, and Prairie Road between 100 Street and Patterson Drive, starting in early September.

During construction, the City says speeds will be reduced, lane closures will be in effect, and transit route 2 will experience some delays; Drivers are asked to follow all posted signage and plan for extra time during their regular commute.
