Local Food Week August 10 to 16

This is Alberta Local Food Week. 

The province calls this a chance to “meet local farmers and entrepreneurs who work to put nutritious food on our plates, and to show support for all things grown, made and harvested in Alberta.” 

The government says people can mark the occasion in several ways. 

These include visiting a host farm during Alberta Open Farm Days this weekend, visiting a farmer’s market, or going to a u-pick farm for vegetables and fruit.
