Provincial government announces funding for sexual assault centres
Two Grande Prairie organizations that help victims of sexual assault are included in a funding announcement from the Alberta government.
The province says $17 million will be split among 15 sexual assault centres, including PACE in Grande Prairie, along with the Association of Alberta Sexual Assault Services.
The government says this includes an increase of $3.3 million, part of what it calls its commitment to increase total funding by $10 million by 2028-29.
There is also $3.7 million in annual funding for eight places that work with young people.
