NWP Skilled Trades Training Centre opens Aug. 26

Northwestern Polytechnic’s new Skilled Trades Training Centre is set to open next week.

Effective Aug. 26, the 40,000-square-foot facility will be able to provide students with modern, industry-aligned training environments that support hands-on learning.

Between the courses offered at the new centre and at NWP’s main campus, the polytechnic will provide apprenticeship and trades training in 11 fields, including automotive service technician, carpenter, electrician, and more.

NWP invested approximately $29 million to develop the centre and expand local skilled trades training to more than 1,500 seats.
