Peace region under air quality warning
A yellow air quality warning is in effect for the Peace region, spanning from the NW.T. border all the way to Grande Prairie.
Environment Canada says smoke is causing poor air quality and reduced visibility, but i can vary from hour to hour.
At this time, they suggest limiting time outdoors and considering rescheduling events, activities, or sports, especially for anyone aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition.
Currently, only two wildfires are active in northwestern Alberta, but 216 blazes remain active in the Northwest Territories.
