HFCRD preparing for 2026-27 academic year

Holy Family Catholic Regional School Division has multiple projects and initiatives planned for the new school year.

The division is launching new three-year Faith and Education plans to grow faith in the division and raise their Grade 9 Provincial Achievement test and Diploma results.

“Every student in our division deserves the chance to succeed,” says HFCRD Superintendent Vicotria Cornick. “With our new numeracy framework and expanded literacy supports, we’re giving teachers the tools they need to help students build strong foundational skills from kindergarten through grade twelve.”

Meanwhile, HFCRD has entered the design phase for the new St. Thomas More School after the province accelerated the project.

“We are thrilled to see the Fairview project accelerated into the design stage,” says Cornick. “This is a significant investment in the future of Catholic education in Fairview, and it means students there will soon learn in a modern, purpose-built space.”

HFCRD is also advocating for a new K-12 facility to replace St. Andrew’s School.

Classes at HFCRD’s St. Stephen’s in Valleyview resume Monday, Aug. 31; all others resume Tuesday, Sept. 1.
