Highway 2 closed as crews respond to a crash

Highway 2 just south of the Woking turnoff is currently closed in both directions as crews respond to an accident.

511 Alberta says drivers in the area should find an alternate route, as traffic is already congested near the crash site and is causing major delays.

Spirit  River RCMP are on scene and say an update will be sent out when more information is available.

According to callers to the EGP newsroom, the highway is not expected to reopen until midnight
