“An incredible honour” says Grande Prairie artist featured on new conservation license plate

A work by a Grande Prairie artist will be featured on Alberta’s new conservation license plate. 

Des McCaffrey’s Alberta Monarchs depicts three bighorn sheep rams with mountains in the background. 

In a social media post, McCaffrey calls this “an incredible honour”, adding he has “been keeping this under (his) hat for three years.” 

He adds he is proud to support wildlife in Alberta.
