Fatal hit and run in Wabasca

Wabasca RCMP say a 54-year-old woman has died after a hit and run.

Mounties say they got a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian along Sawmill Road just after midnight on September 3.

The woman died at the scene. Her name was not released.

The Major Crimes Unit is investigating and is asking for help from the public.

Anyone who has information on a white pickup truck driving in the area of Sawmill Road in Wabasca, or footage of that area between Sept. 2, 2026 at 11 p.m. and Sept. 3, 2026 at 1 a.m, is asked to please contact the Wabasca RCMP at 780-891-3768.
