Daily rainfall records set heading into the long weekend

Heavy rain plagued the Peace Region heading into the long weekend.

According to Weather Stats, a total of 48. 6mm was recorded, with 22.8mm falling on Thursday, Sept. 3 and 25.8mm on Friday, Sept. 4.

As a result, daily maximum rainfall records were set for both Sept. 3 and 4.

Soggy conditions may have taken a break for the weekend but aren’t going anywhere, with rain in the forecast for this evening (Tuesday, Sept. 8) and Thursday, Sept. 10.
