Frost warning in effect for much of Alberta

A frost warning is in effect for much of the province, including the Peace.

The warning stretches from the Peace region, southeast across central and southern Alberta, into southern Saskatchewan.

Overnight lows of near or below freezing are expected in some areas of the proince tonight.

EC says damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible, and suggests residents take “preventative measures to protect cold-sensitive plants, trees, and crops. Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.”
