PRRD declares candidates for 2026 General Local Election

The Peace River Regional District has formally declared the candidates for the 2026 General Local Election.

Eight nominees were submitted after PRRD extended the nomination deadline for Electoral Area E from Sept. 11 to Sept. 14.

Reid Graham and Bradley Sperling will be running unopposed in Electoral Areas B and C, respectively.

Leonard Hiebert and Orval Harris will run against each other in Electoral Area D, while Electoral Area E has four candidates: Richard Nicholls, Julia Nelson, Jason Young, and Maureen Ethier.
