Aquatera Eco Centre named recipient of 2026 Collection Site Award of Excellence

The Aquatera Eco Centre is being recognized for its outstanding performance, environmental stewardship, and commitment to customer service.

The centre has been named one of the recipients of the 2026 Collection Site Award of Excellence from the Alberta Recycling Management Authority for demonstrating exceptional standards and the safe and responsible management of materials.

“This recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of our team, who consistently strive to deliver exceptional service while supporting environmental sustainability in our community,” said Sarah Kaut, Solid Waste Operations Manager. “We are honoured to receive this award and remain committed to helping our communities manage waste responsibly and efficiently.”

The Eco Centre helps residents dispose of material safely while supporting the organization’s environmental commitment.

“Receiving this award is a testament to the collaborative efforts of our employees, customers, and community partners,” said Vaughn Bend, Chief Executive Officer. “Together, we are making a meaningful impact by promoting responsible waste management and environmental stewardship.”
