Town of Sexsmith implementing safety upgrades to Benville Ballpark Diamonds

The Town of Sexsmith is making safety improvements to two baseball diamonds at the Benville Ballpark.

Diamond #1 is being moved and reoriented to allow for a new backstop and extended outfield fences, while Diamond #2 will receive an additional five feet of fencing on the outfield fence to keep balls within the play area.

The town says these improvements will make the diamonds safer and reduce the number of balls leaving the field due to strong players.
