Life sentence with no chance of parole for 14 years handed down for Grande Prairie murder

Alberta Justice says a Grande Prairie man charged after a 2023 murder has been given a life sentence with no chance for parole for 14 years. 

Nathan Anthony Landry was handed the sentence on September 17 in Grande Prairie Court of King’s Bench after being convicted in July on a charge of first-degree murder. 

Landry was arrested after the December 4, 2023, death of 34-year-old Brian Buchaski, also of Grande Prairie. 

He was found dead in Muskoseepi Park near the Westside Park area.
