Emergency training exercise taking place in Muskoseepi Park

An emergency response exercise is set to take place in Muskoseepi Park Thursday, Sept. 24.

The exercise is part of the Alberta Support and Emergency Response Team’s annual exercise and training week, running Monday to Friday with classroom training and field-based learning.

The City and the Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership will also be participating in the exercise as they respond to a simulated hazardous materials and environment incident.

Emergency response personnel, vehicles, and equipment will be visible in the park, including participants working near water, and residents are advised to follow any posted signage or directions from exercise personnel while the exercise is underway.
