New executive director appointed for Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum

The Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum has announced a new executive director.

Deanna Way has been appointed by the River of Death and Discovery Dinosaur Museum Society to take over for outgoing executive director, Linden Roberts.

“The Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum has earned a strong reputation for scientific research, education, and public engagement,” said Bob Marshall, Chair of the River of Death and Discovery Dinosaur Museum Society. “The Board was committed to finding a leader who would build on those strengths while guiding the Museum into its next chapter. Deanna’s collaborative leadership style, strategic perspective, and experience made her the right choice, and we look forward to working together to advance the Museum’s mission.”

Way previously served as executive director of the Quinte Museum of Natural History in Ontario and holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Robert Gordon University and an Advanced Diploma in Applied Museum Studies from Algonquin College.

Currie Dinosaur Museum,” said Way. “The Museum has established itself as a leader in paleontological research and public education, and I am honoured to become part of that legacy. I look forward to working with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, researchers, Indigenous partners, community organizations, supporters, and our municipal partners as we continue inspiring curiosity, advancing scientific discovery, and creating meaningful experiences for visitors from around the world.”
