Farmer’s Market demolition underway

Demolition work is underway at the former Farmers Market building in downtown Grande Prairie.

The work is expected to take three weeks, with traffic along the laneway between 102 Avenue and 101 Ave operating as one-way.

The city says pedestrians will be unaffected, as sidewalk access will remain available, but it did warn residents to be on alert in the area with large trucks coming and going from the site.

In November of last year, an overnight fire at the Market caused damage beyond repair.
