Four overnight disruptions at Beaverlodge ED this week

The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital Emergency Department will be without a physician every night until Friday, Oct. 2.

Alerat Health Services says the ED will be undergoing four overnight 12-hour disruptions starting tonight:

  • 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28 – 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29*
  • 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29 – 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30*
  • 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30 – 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1*
  • 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1 – 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2*

During that time, nursing staff will provide urgent triage, assessments and referrals to neighbouring facilities, while EMS will reroute 911 calls to nearby hospitals.

AHS does note that the Virtual Physician pilot program may be available for all or parts of these disruptions.
