Boreal Wetland Centre hosts female students for Women in Outdoor Career event

Over 150 female junior and senior high school students were brought together at the Boreal Wetland Centre last week for a chance to learn more about outdoor careers.

Organized by Inside Education, the Women in Outdoor Career event is meant to give female and nonbinary students a chance to connect with real-world pathways in the outdoor and natural resource sectors and see what responsible resource management looks like in the region.

Female experts in outdoor careers with the City of Grande Prairie, the County of Grande Prairie, Alberta Parks, and more were on hand to tell their stories and help empower female students.
