Orange Shirt Day walk/run to be held on Wednesday

The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre will host its Orange Shirt Day 5 km Walk/Run on Wednesday, September 30. 

It will be held in honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 

The centre says on its social media page that the day is meant to “honour survivors, remember the children who never returned home (and) acknowledge the ongoing impacts of residential schools.” 

Registration will start at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Muskoseepi Park. The walk/run will follow at 5 p.m.
