Homecoming performance to kick off InspireArts Concert Series

A Grande Prairie-raised pianist will be back home to perform in the first offering of this year’s InspireArts Concert Series at Northwestern Polytechnic.

The show will be called Michelle Lynne: A Grande Prairie Homecoming.

Lynne’s website says this will be “an intimate homecoming performance” and will include telling stories, along with playing modern and classical music.

Lynne started playing the piano in Grande Prairie, then studied across Canada, and now has a music career established in the Netherlands.

The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Collins Recital Hall.

Lynne will also give a presentation on Saturday afternoon called Music Business Talk, where she will discuss having a career performing.

Besides playing music, Lynne also teaches others about business-related topics at conservatories in the Netherlands.

This session will start at 2 p.m. and is free to attend.
