Ten “industry-related earthquakes” shook the Peace this month

The Peace Region has been experiencing an increase in seismic activity this month

Since Sept. 30, ten earthquakes were reported by Earthquakes Canada, with the one as recent as yesterday (Tuesday, Oct. 13).

Nine of the quakes are reported southwest of Grande Prairie near Grande Cache, with a lone one reported 42 km east of Peace River on Oct. 10.

At this time, Earthquakes Canada suspects all ten are industry-related, and no injuries or destruction of property have been reported.
