County facilities to close at 11:30 a.m. for a meeting

All County of Grande Prairie services will be closed this afternoon.

The County says an all-staff meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m., resulting in the closure, with normal operations resuming tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 22).

Eight facilities will be affected:

  • Administration Building
  • Transportation and Utilities Building
  • Community Services Building
  • Wellington Resource Centre
  • Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Clairmont and Hythe Offices
  • Clairmont Centre for Recycling and Waste Management
  • Grande Prairie Regional Animal Pound

 Along with these eight, the Elmworth Transfer Station will be closed the entire day as well, while the West Grande Prairie County Regional Transfer Station will remain open.

The County does note that despite the all-staff meeting, essential services will continue as normal.
