Canada women’s rugby sets lineup for rematch with top-ranked England in Ottawa

Oct 22, 2026 | 8:41 AM

OTTAWA — Canada is making a couple of lineup changes as the women enter their matchup against top-ranked England in Ottawa on Friday in the Rugby Rematch Tour.

Taylor Perry is set to return to her fly-half position, while Shoshanah Seumanutafa earns a start at inside centre after scoring the go-ahead try in Canada’s win over England last week.

Gabrielle Senft will move into the starting fifteen, with Caroline Crossley coming off the bench.

Crossley will be looking to make her first appearance in a 15s jersey for Canada since last year’s Rugby World Cup.

The third-ranked Canadian side ended England’s 39-game winning streak on Sept. 19 when the teams played to a 26-26 draw in Exeter.

Canada proceeded to then snap England’s 41-game unbeaten streak with a 24-21 win at BMO Field in Toronto last Friday. England beat Canada 33-13 in the 2025 World Cup final.
