Police Information Check online applications through GPPS launches

Oct 27, 2026 | 12:35 PM

Grande Prairie residents can now apply online for Police Information Checks, says the Grande Prairie Police Service.

The service says the newly launched online system is a secure way for applicants to submit requests 24 hours a day, complete identity verification electronically, pay applicable fees, and securely receive completed results electronically when no follow-up is required.

GPPS Superintendent Greg Redl said in a news release, “Providing online Police Information Checks is another way the Grande Prairie Police Service is improving access to services for our community.”

Applications cannot be submitted on behalf of another, as the system uses Electronic Identity Verification to confirm one’s identity. Those unable to complete electronic verification may be required to go to GPPS headquarters and show identification in person.

Online applications can take between five to 10 business days, or less, to be processed. Payment can also be done securely online with major credit and debit cards.

Applications can still be done in person at the GPPS headquarters located at 10202 99 Street, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays.
