High Level RCMP search for wanted man in connection with assault & reckless firearm discharge

High Level RCMP are asking for the public’s help locating a wanted man.

Mounties say 28-year-old Michael Beaulieu is wanted on multiple warrants after being identified as the suspect who entered a local High Level business on Aug 24, at 11:50 a.m., discharged his firearm twice into the floor and assaulted someone, striking them in the face and sternum area with a handgun.

Beaulieu is wanted on nine charges and is known to operate in the Northwest Territories but frequents High Level and surrounding areas:

• Discharge Firearm while being reckless, Section 244.2(3) C.C.
• Careless use of a firearm, Section 86(1) C.C.
• Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1) C.C.
• Carrying concealed weapon, Section 90(1) C.C.
• Possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized, Section 92(1) C.C.
• Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon or restricted weapon, Section 91(2) C.C.
• Possession of a restricted firearm/prohibited weapon with ammo without licence/registration, Section 95(1) C.C.
• Pointing a Firearm, Section 87(1) C.C.
• Assault with a Weapon, Section 267(a) C.C.
