Where we’re going, we don’t need time changes
Just ignore the advice of Huey Lewis and the News, because Alberta does not, in fact, ‘gotta get back in time’ this weekend.
Sunday, Nov. 1 would’ve been the day that Alberta falls back an hour, but that’s not happening.
The province will remain on the new time zone known as ABT, or Alberta Time.
In a release, the UCP says Permanent Daylight Time also avoids extremely early summer sunrises, which could occur as early as 4 a.m. in some Alberta communities under Permanent Standard Time.
