Storm weekend double-header to feature special events

Nov 3, 2026 | 1:12 PM

The Grande Prairie Storm return to Bonnett’s Energy Centre this weekend after a long road stint, atop the AJHL standings.

They will now play a weekend doubleheader against the MOB as Fort McMurray rolls into town, sitting in the bottom half of the league standings.

As part of this weekend’s match-up, the Storm has a pair of theme nights planned, as Friday’s (Nov. 6) match-up will be their Remembrance Day game, with the team paying respects to veterans while donning special jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game.

Fans are also encouraged to bring items that can be donated to the Veterans Association Food Bank.

Then on Saturday (Nov. 7), it will be the Storms’ annual Tighty-Whitey toss, with fans encouraged to litter the ice with new, packaged socks and underwear after the Storm’s first goal.

All donations will then be collected for the Rotary Club’s Dignity Drive.

Anyone interested in attending can get tickets at the door or through the Storm’s website.
