Four-year sentence in drug case
Alberta Justice says a Grande Prairie drug arrest has led to a four-year jail sentence for an Edmonton man.
Trysten Wyatt La Porte was sentenced on October 26, 2026, in Edmonton court after pleading guilty to a single charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Two other possession for the purpose of trafficking charges, two more of failure to comply with a release order, and single counts of possession of stolen property and resisting a peace officer were withdrawn.
