A man found not guilty after a stabbing in Sexsmith in 2015, is a free man.
Jordan Joseph Wendland had been facing an Aggravated Assault charge in New Westminster, B.C. court related to a 2011 incident. He was due to stand trial this month.
He pleaded guilty in early December and was given one day in jail, two years credit for time already spent behind bars, two years probation and a 10-year firearms prohibition.
A Grande Prairie jury found Wendland not guilty in November of one count of manslaughter and three counts of Aggravated Assault.
