Calgary moving closer to hosting Winter X Games

Calgary has moved a step closer to hosting the Winter X Games and drawing thousands of fans in the process.

The city has secured exclusive Canadian rights to the Games, with the hope of hosting events between 2020 and 2022.

The plan is subject to obtaining corporate sponsorship.

Organizers predict the X Games would bring 75-thousand spectators to the region.
