Ivy Lake Subdivision garage fire

A snowmobile parked next to a flammable liquid started a garage fire in Ivy Lake Sunday morning.

The Grande Prairie Fire Department was called just before 11 a.m. to the subdivision to find the snowmobile inside the garage fully engulfed in flames.

The blaze was brought under control in 15 minutes despite crews being challenged by snow covered roads.

Extensive damage was done to the detached garage and moderate damage to the house.

No one was injured.
