Athletics even NPHL Final with Canucks

The Grande Prairie evened the North Peace Hockey League Final Tuesday night at the Coca-Cola Centre thanks to a massive 7-1 win over the Dawson Creek Canucks.

Grande Prairie scored early and often in the contest scoring two in the first, four in the second, and two in the first to secure the win in Game 2.

A’s forward Dennis Rix led the charge with a goal and four assists in the win.

For Dawson Creek, this was their first loss of the post-season.

The series is now tied 1-1 with Game 3 back in Dawson Creek Wednesday night.

Puck drop is at 8:30 p.m.
