NE Industrial Area Structure Plan Workshop set for Tuesday
The city is seeking input from the public on the Northeast Industrial Area Structure Plan.
Senior Planner Dan Whelton says a workshop is being held on Tuesday at Crystal Park School.
“We are getting information from the landowners about what they would like to see, what their priorities are, are there any special issues on the land that we should know about as we are planning it.”
Whelton says a workshop is different than an open house.
“In an open house, we are just presenting some maps and telling residents what is going on. At a workshop, we are actually looking for input from the landowners. They know their land, they own it and potentially worked it for generations. We are looking for input on things like future transportation networks in the area.”
An open house has already been held, with a second one being held on Thursday for those who would like to learn about the next steps of the Area Structure Plan.
