Four people arrested after RCMP stop stolen vehicle

Four people have been arrested and charged after RCMP pulled over a stolen vehicle.

On Sunday around midnight, officers were patrolling near Rotary House when they spotted the vehicle.

Police were in the process of arresting the two male occupants when the two female occupants took off on foot.

Police quickly caught one of the females and the second was tracked down with the assistance of Police Dog Services.

Claude Normand DUFRESNE (39) of Grande Prairie was charged with the following:

Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
Fail to comply with conditions

Crystal Mary KIYAWSEW (37) of Grande Prairie was charged with the following:

Obstruct police officer
Fail to comply with conditions 
Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

Adam Patrick BYRNE (34) of Grande Prairie was charged with the following:

Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
Obstruct Police Officer
Fail to comply with conditions
Identity fraud

BYRNE also had outstanding warrants at the time he was arrested.

 Shauna Liza FREEMAN (37) of Dawson Creek, BC has been charged with:

Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
Obstruct police officer
Fail to comply with conditions

All four appeared in court in Grande Prairie on September 19, 2018.
