Fire advisory lifted for Grande Prairie Forest Area

The Grande Prairie Forest Area wildfire danger is now sitting at moderate.
Cool and humid weather along with showers in the forecast for the next week in the area have lowered the fire risk. According to a release on May 31, the fire advisory for the area has also been lifted.
The heavy burning of fuels will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
There are currently no wildfires in the area. Since the beginning of the season, there has been 17 put out.
