Remembrance Day ceremonies in and around Grande Prairie

Remembrance Day ceremonies are taking place tomorrow (Saturday) in and around Grande Prairie.

In the City of Grande Prairie ceremonies start at 10:45 a.m. One will be at Revolution Place, the other at Jubilee Park at the cenotaph.

There will be pop up exhibits and displays at the Grande Prairie Museum and at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 54.

Starting at 10:00 a.m. in Sexsmith, Remembrance Day Ceremonies will take place at the town’s Civic Centre.

In Wembley there will be a procession from the community hall at 10:45 a.m.to the cenotaph in front of town hall with a program to honour those who served, followed by a hot lunch back at the hall.

In Beaverlodge, there will be a procession from the elementary school to the cenotaph then to the community centre for a service at 11:00 a.m. with lunch to follow at the Anglican Church Hall.

The Hythe Legion Hall will hold a gathering from 10:30 a.m till 3 p.m. with a hot meal to follow the service.

Starting 10:30 a.m. at the Debolt Legion Hall will be a Remembrance Day ceremony and in Valleyview, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 140 will hold a gathering beginning at 10:45 a.m.
